Visa and housing
|
When you come to the Netherlands to study for a longer period of time, you have to meet all the official requirements, such as having a valid passport, visa, et cetera. The Dutch embassy or the Dutch consulate in your home country will certainly be able to help you in this respect. If you're from the EEA-region and only visiting the Netherlands for the contact days, you do not need visa. If you're from outside the EEA-region and only visiting the Netherlands for the contact days, you need a Schengen Visa for each time you'll visit the Netherlands, please consult the embassy in your own country. You can find comprehensive information on visa requirements, work permits, taxes et cetera at the website of Nuffic (Netherlands organization for international cooperation in higher education). For housing during contact days only GIMA will assist students in finding a suitable place to stay. More permanent housing for foreign students can be arranged by Utrecht University, more information here. |
