Programme introduction

Four leading research institutes in the Netherlands (UT/ITC Enschede, TU Delft, Utrecht University and Wageningen UR) have joined forces to offer GIMA, a very complete MSc programme on Geoinformation technology, management and applications. The GIMA programme offers more than advanced use of GIS, it also covers the management of Geoinformation and spatial data infrastructures in organisations and management styles. Since the start of the programme in 2003, GIMA has become the largest master programme on Geoinformation technology, application and management in the Netherlands and our community keeps growing.

MSc GIMA programme is targeting at dutch bachelors, foreign bachelors, professional workers and is offered as blended learning (see Programme contents) offered by a cooperation of four universities (see Institutes and staff). The programme will provide the MSc GIMA student with an optimal mix of GIS knowledge and skills and a high degree of flexibility and knowledge on demand (see Objectives).
