ITC Enschede
ITC has been established in 1950 under the name International Training Centre for Aerial Survey (hence ITC). Although its full name - but not its acronym! - changed several times, it was until recently the oldest and largest autonomous international higher education institute in the Netherlands to promote the sound application of geo-information technology through programmes of education, research and project services. In January 2010, ITC joined the University of Twente under the name Faculty of Geoinformation Science and Earth Observation of the University of Twente.
ITC is an internationally recognized centre of excellence aiming at capacity building and institutional development, especifically in countries that are economically and/or technologically less developed.
