- Application for programme start in September 2012 is open. The target deadlines for the academic year 2012-2013 are as follows:
- For any students, the early deadline is December 1st, 2011
- For students from outside the EU/EEA the ultimate deadline is March 1st, 2012
- For students from inside the EU/EEA the ultimate deadline is June 1st, 2012

Applying for the programme does not force you to register.
*This Master's programme is officially registered under the name Geographical Sciences (code 60732). You will need to use this name and code when you apply for this programme.
Important!
Due to a law change, additional criteria have been set by the Dutch Government to be eligible for the tuition fee, instead of paying the institution fee. In order to be eligible, all EEA-students are required to:
- Live in the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Niedersachsen or Bremen during their study, and
- Do not posses a Dutch doctoral or masters degree obtained since September 1991

We as a MSc programme do not provide scholarships, although most of them are provided by the NUFFIC. Please consult the section Scholarships for providers, checklists and other information!

Please pay attention to the fact that the MSc GIMA programme is a MSc programme, which will be offered as distance learning, with four periods of classroom learning. Every classroom learning period will be offered in one of the four Dutch cities where the participating institutes are located. As a consequence you have to travel to these institutes four times in the first year, in order to attend the classroom learning. The intermediate periods you will be working from your home country.
