Application Procedure

The starting-date of the GIMA Master Programme is 1 September. The application deadline for Dutch and EU/EEA (European) candidates is 1 June 2024 (for a start in Sept. 2024). For non-EU/EEA candidates the deadline is 1 April 2024. However, for various practical reasons, we do advise you to apply well before these deadlines.

Although organized by four leading universities in the Netherlands, the GIMA MSc programme is officially registered in Utrecht. This means that GIMA adheres to the application and admission procedures of Utrecht University. Your application will also proceed through the website of Utrecht University.

Before you go there, please first check whether you meet the entry requirements for the GIMA Master Programme.

When you are uncertain about whether you qualify for admission, you may want to contact the GIMA Programme Director or contact the GIMA contact person to discuss your situation. Please do so well before the application deadline and by following this link. Please note that the GIMA contact person cannot make a final decision on your eligibility. Only the GIMA Admission Committee can decide on whether you are admissible or not after having received your formal application.

Ready to apply? Please go to the website of Utrecht University or directly to Studielink. During the online application, you will also be asked to submit several forms and documents, which you may want to prepare beforehand. These videos give you an overview of the application procedure of the Utrecht University.
